We've had a number of questions about the nature of the 3D Design MA pathway, so we've sought to clarify what it's all about!
Students on the MA in 3D Design focus on the design of real-world, physical objects such as furniture, lighting, consumer products, etc. Applicants typically have a background in Product/ Industrial Design, Furniture Design or related fields such as Architecture. Students usually engage in their design practice through prototyping/making at our state-of-the-art workshop facilities. While students often use 3D Design software packages for detailing and producing visuals of their design, this is not an MA in 3D animation, 3D modelling, CAD or similar.
